CMAS CARE

Our Services

Homes for young people

We provide safe and nurturing homes to young people aged 16 and 25. Our accommodation is semi-independent, offering each young person tailored support to meet their unique needs.

We specialise in supporting young people facing homelessness, including those who are:

  • Care leavers or looked after children (over 16)
  • Overcoming addiction
  • Unaccompanied asylum-seeking teenagers
  • Experiencing family or relationship breakdown.

Each young person is assigned a skilled key worker who supports them to develop the tools and confidence they need to move on and live independently. The tailored support offered to each young person includes, but is not limited to:

  • Daily living skills
  • Managing finances
  • Building confidence, resilience and self-esteem
  • Maintaining health safety and security.

Personalised care

We view each person in our care as an individual. Our clients receive personalised care and support tailored to their unique needs.

Residents are actively encouraged to take charge of their lives and are an integral part of all decision-making. We tailor support to the following areas:

  • Safe and comfortable homes
  • Accessing work
  • Managing Finances
  • Signposting and accessing other services
  • Continuing education
  • Health and well being
  • Planning a successful move on.

Placements

CMAS does not accept self referral, all prospective residents must be referred by one of the following agencies:

  • Local authorities within and outside Essex
  • Healthcare providers within and outside Essex
  • Statutory agencies within and outside Essex
  • Voluntary organisations working in partnership with local authorities.

We understand that you may need to speak to us about your referral and are happy to answer any questions. Please contact Sophie in the first instance on 079 6185 8455.

On admission, an initial assessment will be carried out within the first week of admission, and a placement information pack will be given to help to link a resident with the community and familiarise with the area.

We accept emergency referrals in a crisis situation. If you require this service, contact our emergency number on  079 6185 8455.

Partnership working

We have strong community links and work closely with local authorities, health care providers, education providers, and all other key agencies.
