Our Services

Homes for young people

We provide safe, supportive, and nurturing homes for young people aged 16–25. Our semi-independent accommodation offers tailored support designed to meet each individual’s unique needs, helping them progress towards independence.

We specialise in supporting young people facing homelessness, including care leavers, looked-after children, asylum seekers, and those experiencing family or relationship breakdowns.

Each young person is supported by a dedicated and skilled key worker who works closely with them to build confidence, develop essential life skills, and prepare for independent living.

Our tailored support includes, but is not limited to:

  • Developing daily living skills
  • Managing finances and budgeting
  • Building confidence, resilience, and self-esteem
  • Maintaining health, safety, and personal wellbeing

Personalised care

We recognise every young person in our care as an individual, with their own experiences, needs, and aspirations. Our support is tailored to each person, ensuring they receive the right level of care to help them grow and succeed.

We actively encourage young people to take ownership of their lives and involve them in all decision-making, empowering them to build confidence and independence.

We provide support in areas including:

  • Safe and comfortable accommodation
  • Access to employment, education, and training
  • Managing finances and budgeting
  • Signposting to and accessing external services
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Planning for a successful move into independent living

Placements

CMAS Care Services does not accept self-referrals. All prospective young people must be referred through one of the following agencies:

  • Local authorities (within and outside Essex)
  • Healthcare providers
  • Statutory agencies
  • Voluntary organisations working in partnership with local authorities

We understand that you may wish to discuss a referral prior to submission and are happy to answer any questions. Please contact Sophie in the first instance on 07961 858455.

Upon admission, an initial assessment will be completed within the first week. A placement information pack will also be provided to support the young person in settling in, linking with the local community, and familiarising themselves with the area.

We accept emergency referrals in crisis situations. If you require this service, please contact us on 07961 858455.

Partnership working

At CMAS Care Services, we believe effective support is built on strong partnerships. We work collaboratively with local authorities, social workers, healthcare professionals, education, training providers, and other agencies to ensure each young person receives coordinated and holistic care.

By maintaining open communication and shared goals, we are able to respond effectively to changing needs, manage risks, and provide consistent, high quality support. We value the input of all professionals involved and recognise that positive outcomes are achieved through a joined up, multi-agency approach.
